Event Details

This event is a Sutton Historians special talk, part of the Sutton Steams Ahead Lavender Fields Forever project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. as part of the programming for the Lavender Fields Forever STEAM project.

Join us for an illustrated talk by Paula Bailey from Carshalton Lavender for an opportunity to find out how lavender farming returned to Carshalton. The project set up almost 25 years ago is run entirely by volunteers, but is flourishing and produces their own Carshalton Heritage essential oil on site. A brief history, some things learned along the way, and what they do with their harvested lavender. Plus a chance to smell the product!

Tickets are free, but please book your space in advance as there is a limited capacity.
