Academics are urgently recruiting SEN Personal Care Teaching Assistants to join an excellent specialist secondary SEN school in Sutton, supporting pupils aged 11-16 with PMLD, complex physical disabilities and mobility needs.

Role Details

Job Title: SEN Personal Care TA
Pay: £100-£105 per day
Location: Sutton
Hours: 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
Start Date: ASAP – Trials Ongoing!
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term, Temp to Perm
Class Sizes: 8-10 pupils with excellent staff-to-pupil ratios

Key Responsibilities

Supporting secondary-aged pupils with PMLD, complex physical disabilities and additional learning needs.
Providing personal care, including toileting, changing and hygiene support.
Assisting wheelchair users and pupils with mobility difficulties.
Supporting sensory activities, communication and individual learning programmes.
Working closely with teachers and specialist staff to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEN, PMLD or physical disabilities is highly desirable.
Must be comfortable providing personal care, including toileting and changing.
Patient, compassionate and confident supporting pupils with complex needs.
Available for full-time, long-term work in Sutton.
