Jo Sharpe Artist - original art, products and workshops inspired by nature
Jo Sharpe is a local artist and works in a wonderful artist studio in Oaks Park, Carshalton. It is here that she paints, exhibits and runs art classes, workshops and art parties. The studio is Georgian and set behind the café in beautiful Oaks Park, 5 minutes walk away from The Mayfield Lavender fields near Banstead in Surrey.
Jo was raised in Norfolk and loves Nature and the countryside. She loves to paint local scenes inspired by her local walks such as Nonsuch Park, Carshalton Ponds and the Lavender fields. She has a large selection of cards and limited edition giclee prints. She also produces beautiful handmade textile products such as bespoke cushions and scarves from her original artworks. They make wonderful gifts.
Jo is also a community artist and and runs a variety of art classes and workshops and art parties for all ages. She runs weekly ‘Budding Artists’ adult art classes and ‘Art in the Park’ creative workshops from her studio. In the holidays she runs art workshops for children. She hopes to inspired her community to take up art as she really believes creativity is good for wellbeing.
Jo opens her studio to the public the first Saturday of every month and during CAOS (Carshalton Artist Open Studios). She can be often seen painting outside whilst Tilly her dog guards the studio.
