1 The Hope
A true Carshalton favourite. No piped music or TV here, so you’ll have to be entertained by the sights and sounds of the other drinkers.

Arguably Carshalton’s trendiest family pub, offering a cosy environment with top-notch food.

A pub with a firm and loyal following, and a beautifully kept garden.

The beating heart of this pub is live music. They regularly host lively and popular gigs.

Perhaps the most scenic viewpoint of Carshalton, especially if you manage to nab a seat in the Swan Bar. Nice place to soak up a bit of history.

A large bar with a theatre offering the widest range of tribute bands this side of Croydon. Not actually a pub, but a worthy entry.

7= The Woodman
Carshalton’s oldest pub (building) is an old butchers. They still hold a meat market here every Friday and Saturday night. Only joking. Great pub with a huge decking area at the back.

Off the beaten track, but still worth a visit. Seating available outside at both the back and front.

8= The Racehorse
A pub that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Good location for sports fans.

Perhaps the smallest pub in the area, it has a loyal clientele and is well worth popping in for a pint.
