Carshalton On The Hill to spot sheep and horses

*Local walks with kids* An easy 10 minutes walk from Carshalton Beeches station (circled on the map) allows you to get back to nature. Sometimes there are sheep there, see if you can spot them grazing around the area of Wellfield Gardens, marked.

I believe grazing animals in suburban areas like this help protect the chalk grassland. They provide a more gentle and selective prune rather than using machinery.
