It’s important to note, there’s still many lovely local businesses in our high street, that are thriving and adapting to changing tastes.

The moan then was too many estate agents. However we have a too many coffee bars/cafe/restaurants now. Still miss the greengrocer there is a new pharmacy and just love Calladoodles. I like the Coop and Sainsbury’s but not much selection of fruit and veg in the latter. Sorry that forge area is redeveloped and that where Pinks gym used to be. There is a hairdresser and a barbers post office so probably it could be worse.
Yes, I remember the High Street as it was then. Cannot add details about the building but the shop to the right was owned by Deakin family as 'Gents Outfitters'.…
