New shop in Carshalton High Street keeps Antiques tradition alive

In a major boost to Carshalton High Street, two new independent businesses are due to open in the location once occupied by Pinks gym. The properties have been redeveloped with flats above – designed in a traditional Victorian style to match the other buildings.

On one side is a hairdresser and on the other a place described as ‘The House of Vintage Cameras, Hi-fi and Antiques’. Check out our Spotlight guide for more info.

With the closure of the shop called ‘Antique Galleries’ some years back it’s good to see another antique shop in the village – keeping Collectors Corner on The Square company.

On the far left of the picture above, where there was recently a carpet shop, a new independent coffee shop is said to be opening.

All three businesses have an advantageous spot on the High Street with lots of passing traffic. We look forward to having a nose around at some point.
