*Localish Walks* Have you been to Shere? An ever-so quaint Surrey village on the Tillingbourne river. It’s been used as a location in films such as The Holiday, Bridget Jones and Four Weddings and a Funeral. It was a rather overcast day when we went, but that doesn’t spoil anything.

It takes around 40 minutes by car*, and we parked in the village car park. Wander around looking at the historic architecture and then go over the ford, for a trek around the beautiful surrounding parkland. On your return, as well as rustic pubs, there’s a range of eateries and coffee shops to check out too.
