*News* The Carshalton Frost Fair has long been a highlight of the local Christmas calendar — but this year, organisers have decided to take a break.
The event, which usually sells out, is run by EcoLocal with the help of over 80 volunteers. On their website, the organisers explained:
“We have decided to have a year off from the Carshalton Frost Fair in 2025. The event takes a huge amount of time and effort to put on in our spare time and we feel we need time to focus on other community projects this year.”
In addition, the Carshalton fireworks display — usually organised by the Round Table — will not be taking place for the foreseeable future.

The fireworks display has since the 1950’s been organised by Wallington and Carshalton Round Table. Due to dwindling volunteer participation the event has now ceased
