Harry Hill & Tim Vine’s hilarious heartfelt video message for Cryer Arts crowdfunding appeal

*NEWS* Cryer Arts in Carshalton High Street are looking to futureproof the venue and need to raise £150,000. A popular arts location in South London, it’s hosted over 650 shows and events since re-opening in 2019.

Popular comedians Tim Vine and Harry Hill have played at the Cryer Arts several times, and have recorded video snippets to raise awareness of the campaign.

Tim Vine started by saying “I just dropped by” – and in classic Tim-style dropped the word BY which had been written on a piece of paper.

Harry Hill followed up, lightheartedly pretending he was in the same room as Tim and joked about there being an 0800 number to call.

The building has some urgent work that needs carrying out. Gary Milsom of Cryer Arts said  “We need to replace the aged boiler system splitting into two separate, super efficient systems to cater for the bar/restaurant and theatre separately. Estimated costs are £40-45,000.”

Windows need replacing and Gary said they need to “double-glaze all remaining areas, replacing all draughty doors etc. Estimated cost is £45,000.”
