Britain’s Best Beer Brewed in Beddington

*News* On the edge of the borough of Sutton is a brewery and tap room belonging to Anspach and Hobday.

‘London Black’, likened to Guinness, has topped the ‘We Are Beer’s Top 50 UK Beer 2025 list‘. The awards recognise the best beers across the UK, and the people behind it organise the London Craft Beer Festival.

Although the brewery has a Croydon postcode, it sits within the boundary of Sutton. Mayfield lavender, although it has a Banstead postcode, also sits within our borough. Perhaps Croydon and Surrey have more cachet!

Congratulations to Anspach and Hobday – a visit is on the cards.

The dotted line is the boundary between two London boroughs

The Brewery and Tap Room (where you can occasionally try the beer) is located at Unit 11, Valley Point, Industrial Estate, Beddington Farm Road, Croydon CR0 4WP
