Datchet Border Morris Men help frame perhaps the most ornate wooden fretwork in Carshalton

A photograph of dancers who travelled to Carshalton from Datchet near Windsor in Berkshire, seen here relaxing at the Day of Dance on 23 September 2023. The colourfully dressed Morris Men created a captivating foreground to this old building in The Grove park. Secret Carshalton says: “I’ve always admired the side of this building: the brickwork, the patterned air vents, and the lovely roof trim. It’s just great to see this attention to detail”. Some wonderful Victorian architecture don’t you think, and some eye-catching attire!
