Yes, I remember the High Street as it was then. Cannot add details about the building but the shop to the right was owned by Deakin family as 'Gents Outfitters'. Run by father and two brothers, one of whom was named Barry.
Yes indeed, Sutton Grenadiers Saturday morning cinema, with it's own song, Wurlitzzer, penny sweets and screeming happy children. Mum took me to tea in the restaurant upstairs once. Had to wear best clothes and be on best behaviour! A real treat.

What used to be Sutton Adult Education Centre I think. Took O Level Economics there in evening classes c1960
